UKRAINE – UKraine Replication, Awareness and Innovation based on EGNSS
The aim of the UKRAINE project, in accordance with the GALILEO-3-2014 call for proposals, is to accelerate the development of applications through international cooperation and to promote the widespread adoption of global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) in Ukraine, while creating opportunities for knowledge and commercialisation.
The contribution of the UKRAINE project in relation to the above objective relates to the achievement of the following outcomes:

- Support for raising the level of GNSS regulated applications through the development of a legislative framework development plan;
- Development of innovative solutions for multimodal logistics and dangerous goods;
- Creation of business cooperation opportunities for Ukrainian and European companies.
These outcomes will be achieved through coordinated actions:
- Performing a study on the integration of the Ukrainian legislative framework in line with key European directives and regulations in relation to GNSS in transport;
- Working on Aviation as a starting point for the expansion of EGNOS in Ukraine by (a) preparing the basis for LPV procedures, (b) working on GNSS signal monitoring and (c) establishing the necessary legislative framework;
- Introducing innovations in the field of EGNSS tracking and tracing of Dangerous Goods and implementing a pilot project on multimodal freight transport;
- Creating business cooperation opportunities for Ukrainian and European companies and engaging GNSS stakeholders through a competition for a multi-constellation GNSS receiver;
- Dissemination of results through pilot projects, demonstrations and an extensive communication campaign.
The maximum possible involvement of Ukrainian stakeholders will be ensured: a) through direct involvement of the State Space Agency of Ukraine, National Aviation University and Kyiv Polytechnic University (KPI); b) by organising events, networking opportunities and competitions for Ukrainian individuals; and c) by visioning the launch of products on the Ukrainian market.
