Scientific and Education Center "Aerospace Center" was established by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine from 16.02.09 № 120 to conduct research and development, the creation of internationally competitive research and applied results, implementation of innovation and to ensure the providing conditions for in-depth scientific and scientific-technical training of specialists.

Director of SEC "Aerospace Center" - Volodymyr Kharchenko, Dr.Sc. in Technical Science, PhD. in Technical Science, Honored Scientist and Technician of Ukraine, the State prize winner in the field of science and engineering, leading scientist in the field of aerospace informatics, made a significant contribution to the development of theoretical principles and evaluating the effectiveness of socio-technical systems and decision-making systems under conditions of uncertainty and risk, founder and head of the world-renowned scientific school "Aeronavigation".

The main objectives of SEC "Aerospace Center" are:

• Organizing and conducting basic, applied and experimental research and development aimed at implementing the priority areas of science and technology based on the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS technology).
• Creation of systems and equipment navigation and control.
• Development of hardware and software for the implementation of specific technologies based on GNSS and their differential additions and information technology.
• Monitoring satellite navigation field of GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BEIDOU, EGNOS systems.
• Providing services to users of GNSS using the mode DGPS/RTK in real time.
• Services to interested individuals, organizations, enterprises, institutions in solving urgent problems and future creation, detection and control equipment and satellite navigation systems.

The main activities of SEC "Aerospace Center" are:

• Forecasting the availability of satellite radio navigation systems in flight, takeoff and landing.
• Interference resistance of satellite radio navigation systems.
• Technologies for objects protection from means of destruction equipped with satellite navigation equipment.
• Adaptive antenna systems for interference suppression of satellite radio navigation systems.
• Differential systems of satellite navigation.
•  Algorithms for primary and secondary processing of information in communication systems, navigation, surveillance (CNS/ATM).
• Autonomous integrity control of satellite on-board navigation equipment.
• Control and management of vehicle traffic at the airport surface.
• Real-time precision trajectory measurements based on differential system of satellite positioning.
• Technological software of navigation receivers and control and correction stations.
• Integral information processing in aircraft navigation systems (GPS, EGNOS, ГНСС + inertial system).
